The damage was such that the area is now unsafe for children to continue playing there, so the Pirate Ship has unfortunately had to be sectioned off until it is repaired.
The damage was caused at some time between 6pm on Saturday 24th April 2021 and 1pm on Sunday 25th April 2021. It is unacceptable and is causing inconvenience for children and families who would otherwise enjoy the playground.
Anyone who either witnessed anything or has information is urged to contact PC 152 TAYLOR on 725111 or anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Agriculture, Countryside and Land Management Services is responsible for maintaining the playground and said it was saddened by this anti-social act and is working closely with Police to help catch the perpetrators.
