Reporting makes a difference - to you, your friends, and your community. By reporting incidents when they happen, you can help stop it happening to someone else. You will also help us to better understand the level of these sorts of incidents within the Bailiwick, and enable us to respond accordingly.
Diversity and Inclusion Ethos within Bailiwick Law Enforcement
Bailiwick Law Enforcement (BLE) strives to support the wider community and its individuals of all backgrounds. In no way, shape or form should a person feel victimised for who they are. We value the importance of all members of the community feeling safe and not discriminated against by others. Inclusion is essential in building relationships, security and trust amongst Islanders.
Guernsey Police will endeavour to help victims and where appropriate pursue a prosecution. In some cases, victimisation of individuals or groups of people can lead to tension within the community. While we can only prosecute where a crime is committed, we can work with partner agencies and community groups in a bid to prevent escalation in seriousness or feelings of isolation.
Reporting incidents of this nature makes a difference - to you, your family/friends and your community. You will also assist us in better understanding the level of these incidents within the Bailiwick, and enable us to respond accordingly.
