Search for missing Matthew Bourgaize - UPDATE17 January 2020

Guernsey Police are continuing their search for 29-year-old Matthew Bourgaize who was last seen on Saturday 11 January. Several members of the public have contacted Police with information and officers have continued to pursue all lines of enquiry.

As a result, Police have identified a number of sightings on CCTV, from between Ville Au Roi and through the lanes to Croutes Havilland, St Peter Port which they believe to be Matthew. The final sighting appears to show Matthew exiting Croutes Havilland and turning right onto Fort Road. This footage was filmed between 2.50pm and 3.20pm on Saturday 11 January.

Other lines of enquiry have also been investigated but as yet they have not led to further positive sightings of Matthew, but we would continue to invite members of the public to contact us with any information that may be helpful, on 01481 725111. We would particularly ask people living in the area of Fort Road to check any outbuildings and isolated areas on their private land.

Officers have continued searching relevant locations and speaking with Matthew's friends and family. A drone and the Sea Fisheries RIB are also involved in the search efforts.

Guernsey Police would also like to state again that if this message reaches Matthew, we would encourage him to make himself known to us, so we can ensure he receives all the care and support he needs.
